Notice of Temporary Road Closures in Blackwood

Saturday 19th May 2018 for the Blackwood Hotel & Community 150th Year Celebration

We wish to advise that the following roads will be closed from 7am – 7pm on Saturday 19th May:

13 – 23 Martin Street, Blackwood
Intersection of Golden Point Road & Byres Road

Blackwood is an historic gold mining town situated in the Wombat State Forest, gold being first discovered in 1854.

This family event celebrates the town’s rich history and 150 years of the Blackwood hotel’s operation.

There will be artisan market stalls, live music, wine tastings, food stalls and vans, an Art Show, Wagon Coach rides, history talks and walking tour, Gold panning, Jumping Castle, a Bucking Bull, Cross Saw exhibition and more.

Vehicles will be unable to enter the central area of Martin Street for the duration of the event.
