Hi Blackwood residents (and beyond)!
Well it’s certainly started to get cold hasn’t it. For those new to the town Including me I was warned and told “if you can make it through the first winter you’ll be ok”.
I’ve also learnt the a fire place keeps you warm twice ( stacking/chopping and burning ). Now as for the new team, hopefully the last issue wasn’t too far off the mark and we felt quite pleased with ourselves as we put together the last edition with only oversight from Jinny, let me tell you it’s quite a lot of work!
In this edition we also published some census data and it’s interesting to see the town has grown since 2016, there are new faces and there are also existing faces that now call their secondary residence at Blackwood there primary, we also have seen an increase in the average number of children per family. We also have a new segment called Blackwood Makers where each edition we talk to locals around interesting side hobbies/gigs and the things they make and build.
I hope that everyone enjoys the current edition and gets to know Jinny, Brendan and Margot as they feature in a mini-biography and an interview.
As always we hope you enjoy this edition and don’t hesitate to reach out either by flagging one of the team down or simply email us at team(at)theblackwoodtimes.com.au
