Hi all, we have had several very hot days; we can all be thankful that we haven’t had any fires nearby causing us concern and also thankful that we are usually a few degrees cooler than Melbourne!

It’s been a pleasant Christmas period and New Year in Blackwood. This year we have seen the Lerderderg River dry right up so there hasn’t been a whole lot of swimming at the swimming hole. Even though it’s really low, I recently saw a few families splashing around there.

The big news for this issue is that the Blackwood Hotel is finally open. It’s fantastic to see this iconic pub completely freshened up and back in business.

The Blackwood Times team hope you all have a wonderful 2025.

By the way, the current team has been putting together the Times close to 3 years now. We are an easy-going group. We don’t require publishing skills to put the paper together, so we would love to have 2 or 3 more members. Pease reach out if you’re interested. team@theblackwoodtimes.com.au
